FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How soon will my order be shipped?
Items are carefully packaged and shipped within 1-2 business days

Succulents will only ship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays to prevent sitting in post office or transit, which could cause damage to your new plant.

Do you ship internationally?
The Blue Petal currently ships only to customers in the United States.

What is your return policy?
While we’re sad that you don’t love the product you purchased, we have a no return policy on items from The Blue Petal. We hope you can pass it on to someone else, and make it new again!

My order arrived damaged, what should I do?
We’re so sorry that your item was damaged in shipping. While we do everything we can to prevent any shipping damage, it can occasionally happen. Please email a photo of your damaged item(s) to hello@thebluepetal.co and we will respond promptly about your reimbursement.

My package is lost or stolen, what can I do?
The Blue Petal is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Once you have purchased your item, The Blue Petal will carefully package and ship your item. Once it is fulfilled, you will receive a tracking number to the email you entered upon purchasing. From that point, UPS is responsible for that package arriving to you, and any questions about the status of its arrival should be directed towards their customer service.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
While your item will come in beautiful packaging, we do not currently offer a special gift wrapping service.

How do I know what kind of condition my item(s) will be?
In the description of each item for sale, you will see a line for the items “condition.” At The Blue Petal, we categorize the items in four different ways:

Extraordinarily Beautiful - It kinda makes me sad how pretty these are. These like-new pieces must not have been used very often and now it’s their turn to be all they were created to be.

Well Loved - This piece seems like new, however you can tell that they have been around the block a few times.
(A little light fading and normal wear)

Needs a Hug - This piece is a bit tired. It has been loved well and has served plenty. The wear & tear may include the occasional chip or crack will have you wondering what its story is.

Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder - You’ll know this piece is old because it will have more significant cracks and chips to remind you what a beautiful life it has lived. We think that’s what makes these items special, and in fact, enhance their beauty.

The Blue Petal reserves the right to categorize each item how they feel it's best described.

We do our best to take great photos for our website so you can see exactly what your item will look like. Please keep in mind when buying vintage items, you are purchasing something that is pre-loved. Most vintage items show natural signs of age and wear (we like them better this way!)

How old are the items at The Blue Petal?
Most items are mid century, vintage, or antiques, but you may find the occasional item from more recent years that Mary Beth just couldn’t pass up. Some items can even date back to the 1800’s!

How should I wash my item(s) from The Blue Petal?
Most items at The Blue Petal are vintage antiques, so as a rule of thumb we recommend hand washing your item just to be extra careful.

Will any of the proceeds from The Blue Petal go to benefit the work of Show Hope?
The short answer is yes! The Chapmans have always generously given to and supported the work of Show Hope. Whether a percentage of the proceeds or an occasional campaign or give away, Mary Beth will continue to bless Show Hope’s work, and introduce anyone she can to the life changing work of reducing the barriers to adoption.
